What the app keeps, why it keeps it, and how to remove it.
Last updated October 18, 2026
Study Buddy Live helps a student work through homework step by step, and lets a parent follow the progress. This page explains what the app keeps, why it keeps it, and how a parent can remove it.
The app is meant to be set up by a parent together with the student.
There is no advertising in the app, no location tracking, no contact list, and no access to the phone beyond the photo the student chooses to send.
The question, and the photo when there is one, are sent to the AI service that reads the problem and writes the explanation. The student’s name and email address are not sent with it.
The result is saved with the account so the steps stay available later and so the same problem is not read twice.
Homework photos are kept in private storage. They are used only to read the problem, they are never public, and they are never shared with another account.
Only the signed-in account can see its own problems and progress. Inside the account, the parent area opens with a PIN the parent sets.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
The app is built for students, and a parent is expected to create the account and supervise its use. A parent can review everything the student has worked on, and can delete it at any time.
Learning data is kept while the account is in use. A parent can delete all of it from the parent area: the problems, the practice answers and the profile.
Once that is done the learning data is gone from the app, and the sign-in account is closed with it.
Sign-in is protected, the parent PIN is stored only as a hash and never as readable text, and homework photos are held in private storage.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Questions about it can be sent using the contact details on the app’s store listing.
